How do you help the right people find your business, understand what you offer and choose you? At 12:45 p.m. on Monday, November 9, conference participants can choose one of four workshops in the Marketing Your Business stream. Whether you want to build a more consistent social media presence, understand how customers find you online, create content that connects, or ask questions about running a small business, there’s a conversation to meet you where you are.

Search is changing quickly. Customers are no longer finding businesses only through Google. They’re also asking ChatGPT, Claude and other AI tools for recommendations, answers and service providers. So what does that mean for your website, your content and your social media?
In this practical, jargon-free session, Eden Spodek will explain how search and AI discovery are evolving and what small business owners can do now to improve their chances of being found. You’ll explore what’s changing with SEO, how AI tools decide which businesses and sources to reference, and how your website, content, reviews, social media and online credibility can help customers discover you. There’ll also be time for questions about AI, prompting, accuracy, privacy, risk and simple business automation.

She is passionate about helping women entrepreneurs buildcommunity, share expertise, and adopt AI in ways that are practical, ethical, and human-centred.

Consistency on social media starts with a plan. With strategic prompts and helpful tips, you’ll map out content to carry you through the busy season.
Kat makes social media more fun and effective for makers, main street businesses and hometown service providers, helping them sell more and scroll less. She has more than a decade of experience working with small businesses, with millions of views on client content along the way. When she’s not filming Reels, Kat can be found building with Lego with her two kids, listening to Taylor Swift or painting something pink.

Creating a content plan that puts people first can help you build trust, authority and lasting connections. In this session, Rebecca Stanisic will share examples and stories to show how business owners and organizations with limited staff can create a content plan that engages people and supports growth.
