Due to unforeseen circumstances, this conference has been postponed. Thank you for your understanding.

Mark your calendars for Monday, November 6, 2023, for the return of the Business Sisters Conference!

After a four-year hiatus due to the pandemic, we are absolutely thrilled to be convening again at the Glengarry Sports Palace in Alexandria. Building on the success of the 2018 and 2019 conferences, it will be a full day of connection, wisdom and fun for rural women business owners.

What’s new in 2023

1) On a Monday – This third installment of the conference will be held on a Monday to better accommodate our Business Sisters in the personal care and retail sectors, who could not attend our Saturday event unless they closed shop. Monday is a day where fewer women entrepreneurs would be foregoing revenue when they choose to participate.

2) Celebrating local food! To highlight the agricultural abundance of our region, we plan on featuring a selection of food entrepreneurs from across SD&G and Prescott-Russell for all our meals and breaks.

3) Coming from out of town? Consider making this a little getaway with other business owners! We have great women-owned accommodation in Alexandria: Auberge Glengarry Inn, Laura’s B&B and the White Rock Motel. If enough people choose to book a room, we will arrange for a Sunday night dinner at one of our excellent women-owned eateries!

Be prepared for more surprises as we finalize the program. If you have a suggestion for a topic or a speaker, leave us a comment below!

Do you know of an organization who is aligned with our community values who could sponsor part of the day? We’d love to hear about them as well!

Watch for updates here and on our social media channels. Looking forward to reconnecting with you all!
