This online networking event aims to bring together women and women-identifying/non-binary business owners, with a special invitation to entrepreneurs from rural areas and small towns in Eastern Ontario.
The theme this month is on “spite fuel” that burning energy (anger, frustration…) we feel when naysayers put down our business ambitions. Especially the sexist attitudes from our partners, families, and extended community!
It’s that “Oh yeah? Just watch me!” feeling. But sometimes our imposter syndrome can appear and that feeling disappears. We feel we’re not good enough and get discouraged.
It’s helpful then to remember resilience can be thought of as succeeding “in spite of.” In spite of circumstances, and sometimes in spite of others.
This session is about harnessing SPITE, changing it consciously, deliberately. Harnessing it to our advantage to see the barriers and move passed them with grace.
Join us for the conversation!
We’ll exchange views and real-life research data about the barriers that confront women business owners. What are some resilience practices? How do we manage negativity to help us power forward in what we do?
The event is free to current business owners, or those in startup mode. If you are a professional employed by an organization that caters to business owners and this represents a business development opportunity for you, we ask that you choose the paid ticket option.
Looking forward to seeing you online!
